Product Care & Safety

Candle Care

We want your candles to give you joy and light while filling your space with beautiful aromatic fragrances that inspires self care, togetherness and relaxation. For the most effective way to do this, please follow our candle care tips below.

  • When lighting for the first time burn until wax melts across entire surface to the sides of vessel (this prevents tunneling, and creates an even burn).
  • We recommend that you burn your candle for 4 hours at a time.
  • Trim the candle wick 1/4th to 1/8th of an inch after each burn (it is best to you wick trimmers). This is important to prevent the candles from smoking on the next burn or from burning the sides of the glass. It will promote an even burn, a steady flame and limit sooting/mushrooming of the wick.
  • If soot ever forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish candle, wait for it to cool, then wipe with a clean damp cloth. Trim wick and relight.
  • Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
  • Do not blow out your candle, this will prevent smoking and hot wax from splattering. It is best to either:
    • Place the lid on top of the vessel, the flame will extinguish on its own.
    • Extinguish candle with a snuffer.
    • Dip wick into melted wax and then straighten wick.
  • Do not burn your candle all the way down.  Always leave at least ½ inch of non-molten wax at the bottom.
  • Always burn candle within sight. Do not leave candles unattended.

Reed Diffuser Care

  • Remove the seal on the diffuser vessel.
  • Place reeds in the vessel.
  • Give your reeds a few minutes to absorb the oil, then carefully flip them so that the dry end of the stick is in the bottle and the saturated end is in the air.
  • Use a reed diffuser tray to prevent any spills staining.
  • Spread your reeds out as much as possible to let air circulate between them. Allow up to 24 hours for the fragrance to fully diffuse.

  • Flip the reeds periodically (around once a week) to keep the scent strong.
